Film questionnaire results
Short film questionnaire results

So far the results have indicated that jump scares are more effective than suspense and everyone who responded said they liked thrillers. This gives me an early indication that making a thriller would be a successful choice. These results will mean that I am likely to choose a thriller as apposed to other genres.
Below me is the link to the questionnaire.

Mind map
Below is a link to a Mind map of potential film ideas of a mind map of my ideas and they are coloured in the order of how likely/ how capable I am to do it.
I have selected thriller/ serial killer idea because it fitted well with the feedback I got from the questionnaire and I already have a few plausible ideas. I am also a fan of the style of story telling and am somewhat failure with the triditional codes and conventions that are used.
Copyright laws
Exclusive rights

As a sound recording copyright holder the performer or producer retains exclusive rights over the audio. An infraction of this law would occur if someone was to copy and distributed the copyrighted audio without the creator/ producer's consent. This applies to me because it I want to pirate the music that is required for my film I will have to be mind full that the website doesn't get shut down in between downloads. However this isnt much of an isue.

Potential shooting locations
Below is a number of potential shooting locations I am likely to use. I am most likely to use the top right and bottom left as settings for my shoots as the are mostly open and flat and provide a setting that looks far away from a civilized environment. However, I am also heavily considering using the top left as it creates a more isolated environment. However, it does not provide the wide spaces and many potential angles the other area's do.
Above are two potential scenes I will use. I will remove the audio from both and overlay music to make the audience uneasy. The camera movement will not be consistent across both shots, dispute them being relativity close together during filming. I'll do this ti make sure the audience knows what the atmosphere is. Slightly panicked for the girl in the woods and calm and quiet for the dog on the table.
Music and sound effects
When looking for sound effects I only needed one. I needed to find a creepy ambient sound track that I could layer over the video to create a mood of uncertainty. I found it at a free sound effects website and layered the song over my project.
